One Green World Nursery has been my #1 favorite Nursery for nearly a decade.
Over the years I have purchased a long list of hardy and exotic fruit trees and shrubs for my home yard/garden/orcha
rd.
It is a delight to discover and introduce unique and delicious new fruits to my family, friends and neighbors.
I look forward to purchasing more wonderful fruits and berries for many more years to come.

I absolutely love these guys. I'm lucky enough to live near their Portland outlet. I could spend hours browsing through but my spouse keeps me to a half hour or so ;-/ Their selection of perennial edibles is one of a kind, no other nursery I have ever been to even holds a candle to them. Every plant i've bought from them (half dozen trees, dozen or so bushes) have done well - Next on my list is the "Mango" Pawpaw., not in stock at the moment. Awesome plants and awesome people. more »

One Green World recently updated their website, but it seems like there are a lot of bugs still haunting them from that process. I am having quite a bit of difficulty with my profile and order. Perhaps coming in as a new customer would not be nearly as big a problem.
In terms of followup, it's likely they are swamped for the Spring ordering season, but I have been waiting days for an email or phone response. I still don't know if my order finalized or shipped. I wasn't able to place the order online because of the system problems.
Overall, I have had a mixed experience. They carry some really interesting varieties of plants. I have purchased from them before, and even when I had a problem with the plant before they were moderately cooperative in replacing it (I had to document quite a bit to show that it was the plant and not me). I have even recommended them to friends who have ordered pawpaws and other more unique varietal plants.
I think they have the potential to source some really interesting plants as an online provider. I also have had enough of a mixed experience that this order may be my last order with them as well.
I am rounding up to 3 stars because I appreciate that they are providing some really unique items which I love to read about and imagine growing.
Pros: Excellent and interesting varieties of plants, better website with more information, good staff interaction when you can get a hold of someone
Cons: Responsiveness during busy season, website glitches, quite a few hoops to jump through on plant replacements

Follow up: a day or so after my initial review the customer reps called, fixed things, and like 36 hours later the plants arrived in North Carolina. They have greatly improved their shipping times since my last order. Thus I raised my review a star.

I have had my plants for two weeks and so far everything seems to be going well. They arrived in excellent condition and not one has suffered shock from being planted in. Even with our unusually cooler temps for Spring with a couple of nights that have dipped to 48, they have all started putting out new growth! My order WAS missing two plants when it arrived but a quick call and all was resolved....one plant was sold out before my order was filled and the other was too big to...
See More ship cross country. Both completely understandable positive "problems" and now I have a store credit with which to do MORE shopping ( the horrors) I will keep you posted as to how the plants are doing in my zone 7a Virginia corner of the world--- I am definitely zone pushing with a couple of them and am really curious to see how they do! Sometimes not knowing the "rules" has it's benefits! Keep doing what you do because you rock at it!! Cheers!!

Awesome selection of bare root trees. They have a green house full of citrus, olives, and plants that are often difficult to find. A true speciality nursery. Staff is helpful and does everything they can to answer your questions. more »

I have purchased several trees and shrubs from OGW. All have come in much better condition than any other place I have ordered plants from. The webpage is great and the selection is awesome. I love to discover what kinds of crazy fruits and nuts will grow in my area. So far I have the following from OGW: PawPaw, Jujubee, Kiwi (on the way), honeyberry (on the way), Goumi, yellowhorn, and chestnut. They are very helpful over the phone. Their online form seems to not be working right now because I have not heard back. Perhaps the new web site is not fully functional. Still great place to do business with. more »

First of all, they have a great website! But really what stood out was their knowledge of their flora, the big and beautiful selection, and wonderful attentiveness to the customer. Also their prices are very competitive. I will definitely buy from them again! more »

I've bought plants from One Green World for many years. Whereas some nurseries are hit and miss with plants, every single plant from One Green World still remains alive and thrives. Every time I go there, they say, "I thought you ran out of room for plants."
I respond, "I just found a new place!" My purchases include wintergreen, Chilean wintergreen, yacon, oca, Canadice grape, lingonberry, pineapple guava, maypop, two columnar apples, thornless Canby raspberry, two different varieties of almond, blueberries, two different varieties of jujube, two tea plants, an aronia shrub, and a special European plum. I also obtained three compact figs. Wow! That's quite a positive record that no other plant company even approaches!

Purchased two Medlar trees last year, they came in great condition, once planted, they thrived very well. I can't wait to get some of their fruit this year. This year also ordered Cornelian Cherry, Pawpaw trees and fruiting Quince. All arrived in excellent condition. Excellent customer service.
Thank you One Green World.
PS. OMG with regards to root system on their bare root trees. They were way more structured root system than any big box store bare root tree selection.

So far I have ordered 3 small orders from OGW. The third has not shipped, but the first two arrived in excellent condition. I especially like the fact that the plants arrived with leaves and roots in dirt. OGW is more expensive than some other on-line nurseries, but the quality is far superior to the others I have ordered from. I also am impressed with their selection. What an incredible range of unusual plants & trees. I only have one suggestion for OGW, which is to add compatable soil type and soil PH information. I usually have to look that up on other web sites.
