I stored my belongings at this location from Nov 2017 to May 2024 and I am really happy with my experience! The place is clean and it stays cool, even in the summer. It's very affordable considering the other options in San Diego. Shawn helped me with both my move in and move out and she absolutely rocks! I only moved out of my unit because I moved out of town.
I do not recommend this facility. Getting charged for a unit that I have not received or signed a contract for. Reached out to management and they are not willing to help out. Any other storage facility is better than A1. I do not recommend using them, You’ll end up paying the price of other storage facilities if not more. The “better price” isn’t really better. Not convenient at all.
Second year in a row the service was great. Shawn was extremely helpful. She was very thorough going over all necessary details in a very friendly manner. Overall she is just a very kind person and an asset to the company. I would choose this A1 location again.
Staff in General are helpful, friendly, even staff at location that handled my theft claim. My big disappointment was in that how was my unit broken into and half of its contents taken.( Mine was one of two units that were broken into.) Front building on side of office by the way. Thief's had ample time to cut locks and trashed the entire contents of the other unit that is at least 6 times the size of mine. The amount of the compensation was far less then what I had stated . Shawn made the whole process so simple. She guided me through each step with a complete tour of the facility outlining each security step. It could not have been easier but that was only because of Shawn and her detailed and easy to follow instruction. Not to mention what a pleasant and friendly lady that actually made a moving in process pleasant. She's the best!
