Horrible customer service following flooring installation . I had carpet and luxury vinyl planks installed in April of 2022. After the vinyl was installed I noticed there were areas where it sounded hollow. I contacted Erica, Project Manager and she said I should give the flooring 90 days to acclimate which I did. When I called back in August she sent the 3rd party installer out. He said he would get with Erica. I expected a follow up phone call from Erica but heard nothing. I recorded a video of my walking on the floor and ... read more

Erica had every intention of working with Nancy on her issues. She sent an installer over there and they said the issues were not due to installation problems. So I suggested we wait. And then I never heard back from her and I figured it was resolved on its own. Next thing I hear is Nancy is filing a dispute. I called her immediately to try to see what we could do to resolve this. We offered to replace her flooring at cost since her flooring had been removed already due to a flood so there was nothing to refer to. We really ... read more

My experience with Akels was an absolute NIGHTMARE. My husband and I trusted the company to install flooring, complete a shower install, and outfit stairs for our new construction home. The first estimate for this work was over forty-thousand dollars. After we declined the work order, the salesman worked with us to choose different products. We ended up paying $26,500 for the aforementioned work. We were told we had to pay the entire bill up front because they had to order materials. I am just going to state facts: no opinions, just facts: 1. The original flooring was said to have a guarantee, as was confirmed by the salesman on multiple occasions. Later the Sales Manager tried to say that the guarantee did not cover incorrect installations. 2. The original estimate for the stairway work was 4 days. Actual time was 9 days. 3. The original estimate for the flooring replacement was 14 days. Actual time was 24 days. 4. The flooring was clearly not correct at time of installation. This was agreed to by the ... read more

I purchased carpet from Akel's in Bryant in mid-October. I was not able to have it installed until later in the month. The payment account was quickly set up with Synchrony Bank and Akel's got their money. I was called by the salesman, Jonathan, on a Friday to install on Saturday. This was not possible as the painting would not be completed. He said he would check with the installers and get back to me. He never did.
