I highly recommend Dr Alex Mercado Irizarry. I had a colonoscopy , which is an invasive procedure. Dr Mercado was very polite and knowledgeable. Special note, the preparation for the procedure was good, less traumatic than other experiences. Thank you Dr Mercado and his staff at Holy Cross!!!!!
Dr Mercado Irrizary was terrific. he took his time and did an endoscopy and colonoscopy .. He is professional, kind , respectful and knowledgeable . The staff at Holy Cross were excellent as well from check in to check out . I would highly recommend this Dr.
He took his time in evaluating me, listening to my husband and I explain rare symptoms, and immediately took action in requesting exams no other doctor had done in my 9 months of suffering.
WORSE PHONE EXPERIENCE RUDE AND POOR EXPLANATION!!! IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH DON'T SEE THIS DR, SEEEMS THEY DO THINGS BACKWARDS, THEY WANTED TO HAVE ALL MY PREVIOUSLY MEDICAL RECORDS FROM MY OTHER DR TO SEE MY DIAGNOSIS FROM CROHN'S, THEY WANT TO HAVE IT SO THEY DON'T DO THEIR JOB!! WHY CAN'T THEY CHECK ME FIRST?? DO THEIR JOB AND DO IT RIGHT!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!!!
Had a huge amount of blood work done along with other things. The results came on their web portal, but no contact from the doctor. I have asked 3 times for a nurse to go over them with no results, since it had been weeks. I have forwarded them to my primary doctor to go over. AVOID!!
3/23/2023 .. Just found out that this doctor did not even send my results to my primary doctor .. Here is my original review from google that I'm re-posting it here : July 2022 The Doctor himself was nice, but he seemed to be in a hurry.. I went to him by a recommendation from another Holy Cross employee. Huge mistake. He did the colonoscopy and a biopsy. He claimed he found a polyp and another he couldn't identify. He then proceeded to bill me for outpatient surgery instead of a preventative procedure. $3300 because of my $3000 deductible. Not only that, he sent me to Cleveland Clinic to see Dr. Tolga Erim, the one thing i am grateful to him for. Dr. Tolga identified both as ulcers, no polyps. He removed what was necessary. Horrible bedside manner. No urgency in making follow up appointments after being discharged from the hospital
Called office for critical results of imaging and I was spoken to rudely and lied to about who was there just after speaking to Mark the person I needed to speak with. Very rude and lack of education or manners likely both.
