Scheduling of repair was done without consulting me for the next day. All electronically by Am Home Shield. Contact info for repair company was wrong. Luckily i was able to make appointment work with my work schedule.

Poor service, can't get billing correct--goes up every year, bad service reps and companies.

I had to come out of pocket $8,000 for a brand new HVAC unit, because you all wouldn’t replace it! What is the point in having a home warranty

American Home Shield denied my claim to repair a broken ice maker door handle and they will not allow me to speak to the AHS claims who denied the request.

Trying to find out the status of what they are doing is impossible. Interminable wait on the phone and the associates are difficut to understand.

I have spent over 6 hours on the phone over the last 5 days trying to get my hot water heater repaired. Now AHS will not pay for the full repair because they are saying that required parts are not covered. The required parts that are not covered are things like vent, drain pan, drip valve, water flex line and other standard parts that are essential to the replacement. I have had poor experience with one of their subcontractors and have requested a new subcontractor, but they refuse to let me change to a different provider. Even after this provider said that work was completed when they never set foot in our house and when I had to call them back a second time, they did the job incorrectly.

On hold with them for over an hour every time and had to call almost every day for two weeks straight just to get information on what was happening with my broken AC unit. Had to re-explain my situation every time I was passed along to someone new. When they finally agreed to "fix" the AC unit, they went against the professional opinion of the contractor which was to replace the entire 50+ year-old unit, wanting to replace only a small part.
