Very poor customer service. Long waits on calls. My last service took 10 months to complete!

AHS customer service is terrible there is no one that can give you the status of your service order. They do not call you back after they say they will with information. Last August I had a service order that was never taken care of and three months after the call I received a letter from Frontdoor telling me the problem was not the result of normal wear and tear. With one exception, poor quality contractors. They did not cover the cost of installing a new pressure reduction valve, which resolve running and loud toilets, because the PRV is located outside the house. They also renewed my contract without my consent. This was fraudulent because I never agreed to an auto renew option.

American Home Shied does not allow the customer to make a complaint and recieve an adequate response.When the original request is question they advise the customer the will review the recording and they never get back to prompting their answer to be you have to put another order and pay another $100

My Air conditioning did not cool tech came out told me it is gone Needs Freon not covered my cost 1200.00 other parts not covered. Total cost to me 2150.00. Plus service call did offer to sell me a new one for 8.000. Why have a warranty for big ticket items when they don't want to cover it. Called customer service said they would get with the company and call me back. Still waiting. I don't expect I will hear back. All I can say is buyer beware

we were introduced to AHS when we purchased our house in 1993 and the seller provided a year policy. At that point, we'd never heard of such insurance. It seemed like a good idea, and it was quite reasonable, so we renewed it the following year and have don so annually every since. The first few times we needed to call on AHS they were supportive, responsive, and followed through as one would envision should be done. I pay top dollar a year in advance,but if you have a pool, AHS covers almost nothing . They put in wrong part for svc. order. Thank God I called back to double check & found they don’t cover the part I needed. If I had not called back in I would have lost my $100.00.
