Low pay
Patients stay an average of 2 weeks, so you get to know them and see their progress. Being a small hospital, it is easy to become close to your co-workers.

This is my second time around Ballard. Last year (2016) I had "Missy", "Kendra", and "Daisy"... three Physical Therapy top ladies, for my left full knee replacement therapy; who besides the rest of great Ballard team working as a family together, saw my recovered knee ten months later. They were happy to see me fully recovered but I really want to let them know they are the ones who encouraged me to keep up with the program or my knee would not be working as well. I'm going through the same for my right knee now and would like to commend everyone who is so dedicated to their jobs. I'm sure they have families to tend to also but what I 've seen here is outstanding. Nurse Janett, for example, this lady has deficated her life to Ballard, as I've seen her work 12, 16, and even 20 hour shifts which is commendable because I can just imagine how much she is leaving behind to totally dedicate herself to her patients. I don't think there is enough room for me to say what a great experience this has been and what I would like to say about Ballard; which to me is the greatest acute therapy hospital in the USA. In appreciation on my part, my daughter gave me a "shout-out" during her own radio show; "sneaking" it in tactfully and it was all about Ballard and the family of great people working together as a team! more »
