This was our first trip to Black Bear Diner in Brownsville Texas. The food was really good but what made the night was our waiter. Joe James was an amazing server. We mentioned we were not able to take my oldest out for her birthday the week before and at the end of the meal he brought cake and ice cream. Made the night!!!! We will be back and we will ask for Joe James again.

My original server (Aaron according to my bill) was great. When I came in he seemed to be handling the front end by himself extremely well. After receiving my food he appeared to go on a lunch break at which time the other 4 front staff completely ignored me while walking past me at least a dozen times between the four of them and waiting on a table right next to me. We had breakfast recently. Aaron was our server and just want to let you know he was excellent. He was very friendly and polite but more important very attentive and quick. You should have more servers like him.
server was good, but I had a 100 gift card wgich I gad used 51 of and,the,guy who rang my cgeck up said it was declined and how do you wantcto pay. I paid in cash but feel I was cheated out of 35.00 plus tip. I have the card number and want to say,I,live on under 600 a month and can not afford the luxury of dining out
