I guess I caught the restaurant on a bad night. A long wait to be seated as an employee ran receipts or something at the desk before deciding to seat us at an empty table, a very nice waitress who never refilled our waters, and very dry, overcooked, mediocre tri-tip plate with an old, stringy baked potato. I don't mind fair quality food at a diner, but when I have to literally leave the restaurant to get more water to wash down the dry tri-tip, I don't think I will be going back. We had to wait over 45 minutes to get seated after we were told the wait would be only 15 minutes. Then our food was cold when we got it. Not impressed and won't be coming back to this Black Bear.
Food was okay. Husband and son liked it. I was brought the wrong meal (after a LONG wait, and no it was NOT busy) Told the server and she still was unclear on what my order was. When I finally did get the correct order part of it was undercooked/not edible! Service was terrible. Staff was not helpful. The drama with the staff alone was crazy! Talk about dinner and a show. They need a reality series. Overall disappointing experience.
