I was pleasantly surprised. Counter staff is good and helpful. For Carpenters/builders, there is more selection than at a home Depot or Lowe's and the products are better. Prices are just a little bit higher than home Depot or Lowe's, but considering that this is so much closer to all of us here in West Philly and University City, it's definitely worth the trip. It also takes a lot less time, So that saves more money than driving to a place for cheaper materials at a lower price.
Holy Shizzit, C & R is stepping up their game and just knocked it out of the park with this new warehouse to shop in. Still working on it but looking great. Tool selection and bits outstanding! Even Schluter products and a great selection at that.

They were very helpful in picking out what would fit our space and then filling the orders. We lost confidence once it went from payment to waiting to hear about delivery, but our fears were allayed when we reached back out to them with our will call order number. We also needed paint and the man at the paint desk was also very helpful. We knew the colors and how much because we had consulted with a designer from our contractor’s team, but this man was good natured and even offered to help us carry the paint to our car. Great having this spot open in West Philly. And incredibly friendly and helpful service. As of December 2017, they have a pretty good selection of electrical, plumbing, and paint inventory. Also great selection of lumber and moldings. Still a handful of empty shelving units but it seems like they've been filling up so I'm sure the selection will be close to what their Washington Avenue location has before long.
