RecommendedMy nephew learned Chess with great coaches who use competition in a fun way to get him excited but managed his expectation when he would inevitably lose. I would definitely recommend it.
I highly recommend Chess Wizard. My son is 6 and he enjoyed the classes very much. We play chess at home so he knew the moves but not particularly well the techniques, points acquired throughout the game etc. So he was very excited and learned quickly. The classes were small in size and the wizards kept the kids engaged by calling out their names and asking them about the moves as well as helping them to interact with each other. I am a huge fan of Chess Wizards. My son, now six, has grown so much in the past year not only in the game of chess. He is learning life skills such as sportsmanship, intuition, patience, strategy, mentorship, and kindness. We love teacher John!!

Chess Wizards was an incredible program. The instructor was great with the kids and made it fun for them. They learned strategies and the ability to think moves ahead. Both my 5 year old and 8 year old enjoyed the experience.

My daughter loves chess immediately after a couple of classes with chess wizards. She truly enjoys it and asked me to play with her all the time!
My son loves Chess Wizards. It's fun walking by the classroom and hearing 12 children laughing and cheering and realizing it's all because they are loving their time in chess club. They teach so much strategy and how to play alternate way. I'm really hoping they will start the club back up at AALM soon. All the kids miss it.
