The room looked OK, until you closed the door and then you realized that the heating system was so loud you could barely hear yourself think. Terrible stay, could not sleep due to noisy system. Also, parking is $40 a day--not $30 a day like the ads say. Rip-off and a bad nights sleep.
The location is nice. The neighborhood is terrific, with the green line T right outside. What was disappointing, however, was the cleaniliness -- or lack thereof. There was a left behind mask (and a lot of trash and dust) behind and underneath one of the beds. We asked for the room to be cleaned (for the first time, on the third day of our stay) but our request was not acted on. Overall, a disappointing experience.
Comfortable room with some annoying issues. Difficult to manage A/C, either too warm or Arctic blast. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Seam where sink counter meets wall had some soil in it.
Front desk unprofessional. Staff lost reservation . One elevator not in service. Shower needed cleaning .
When we arrived for check in right around 3 pm, we were informed that our room was not ready. I asked the person in the front desk if she could give me a time to come back to the room and her answer was no. She said " is not ready that is all I can tell you" She seem fustrated by my question and walked away on her phone. Another front desk person ended up helping me. not enough towels limited outlets for charging phones alarm clock in room did not work
Since I was there over Easter AND the Boston Marathon the price for the room was about double. I was forced to extend my stay because my famiy(who live close by ) were sick and I didn't want to get what they had. Have seeing what I was being charged, I decided to risk getting sick. Really resented being taken advantage of in terms of the cost of the room.
