While the location was perfect the hotel itself was quite disappointing. I stay at Le Meridien all the time in NY and the service is spot on. Philly Le Meridien, not so much. The ceiling in the bathroom was stained/yellow what looked to be water damage and peeling off .... felt' like a older hotel not maintained well.
Toilet doesn’t flush!!!
Check in said 3- we got there at 4pm and were told rooms weren’t clean yet and we couldn’t get in. Meanwhile I had a wedding in an hour so I told them I needed to get in and it was ridiculous. The manager let us into a room thankfully but our shower didn’t even have any of the shampoo/ body wash filled. Ridiculous for the cost of this place!!!
It smells like PEE at the front entrance. Hotel is very DARK. Rooms have no enough lighting. Don't have options make rooms brighter unless we request more lamps to be brought in.
A French name doesn't mean it's fancy Issues we had - the a/c in the room didn't work consistently (so the room was hot while we slept). The drain cover in the tub wouldn't stay open (so we had to prop it open using the small bottle of lotion the hotel provided; interestingly, housekeeping never removed the bottle even after tidying up the bathroom incl the tub).
