The air conditioning was broken and it was the hottest day of the year for Philadelphia. The room was nearly 90 degrees.

I checked into my hotel extremely late so I didn’t have time to observe and speculate the room and the conditions. In the morning when it was time to take a shower I realized the bathroom wasn’t in the best living conditions! There was hair coming up from the drain in the shower. The shower wasn’t clean at all.

My room was not cleaned properly. The bathroom shower had long strands of hair on the wall and the sink had something like lipstick substance smeared inside. They only provided one towel. The lamps on the nightstands were dusty and the carpet was stained. The lighting in the room is poor. We ended up checking out the same night we checked in because there were people smoking on our floor and the smell became unbearable in our room.

Unfortunately the staff did not place my fur coat same area as my luggage so it wasn’t loaded and it was left behind. I was told it would be shipped to be but have not received anything yet and I did not receive a tracking number. I was asked to provide a shipping label which was ridiculous. Very mad

Below average corporate chain hotel trying to be upscale. Had I known that Le Meridien was a Marriot Chain, I wouldn't have chosen it.

Hallways smelled like smoke and staff said there was nothing they could do about it yet there were cigarette butts all over one of the stairwells- it was awful. Also, valet was nowhere to be found for over 45 minutes, and he came out in his cell phone and said he had been in the bathroom the whole time. Front desk reception was very nice though and the views from the room were nice.
