Overall, this housing worked. It had its flaws (very expensive, set dates, limited number of private rooms and bathrooms, shared kitchens, guest fees and unnecessarily strict rules, imperfect facilities, et cetera), but the location worked well for me and it was an okay experience all around.

Our sink didn’t work well at all, even though it was fixed once, the mattress had springs poking in my back, when I arrived there it looked like no one had cleaned the room in years, especially the floor did not look very nice. So for the price to stay there I would say that you have to approve the cleanness. Before a new student comes in the room it should be cleaned thou roughly so that the student would feel welcomed and not disgusted. I have to say though that the downstairs areas with the couches and kitchen and everyth... read more

I was a resident at EHS for two years. My experience was fine, however my problem was with the faculty and staff. Certain security guards come into work high or Drunk. Also when I moved out they confiscated my TV before I had a chance to grab it. When I called EHS to ask about it, the women ignored my phone calls. I was also banned from the dorms for staying too often when I moved out due to the fact all my friends lived there as well as my girlfriend. So I would be there often until I was banned for nothing. My last few ex... read more

Firstly, I was rarely in the building because I was interning full-time as well as a full-time student but when I was in EHS, the community of the building was wayyyy too rowdy. I could not study within the Library/study section without being distracted by screaming students and this was a consistent problem. Also, the Belmont University Fall 2018 USA East group had a lot of problems with a particular student (Spencer) throughout the whole semester. The girls and even men were uncomfortable and scared for our safety and the ... read more

The location of EHS George Tower was incredible, allowing me for a relatively easy commute to midtown where I interned during the summer. Amenities like the internet connection and quality of the washer/dryer units left me unsatisfied. As part of the Multicultural Advertising Internship Program, I was expected to be constantly working and networking during the night which demanded a stable and reliable internet connection. Apart from being slow, the intern connection would often drop altogether. The washers were unreliable a... read more

This was a great place to live for the summer. There was a myriad of events spread throughout my entire time living there. Unfortunately, there was mold in the shower that’d keep coming back.

Smelled like marijuana on my floor everyday.

My EHS Experience wasn't awful and it wasn't amazing. Sure the apartment was dingy and dusty. Sure you couldn't open the window to let in fresh air, but its cheaper than most housing options and the area was very safe. Just depends what you are looking for.

Although EHS’ location and proximity to subways, grocers and activities is great, it’s living conditions are disgusting. The floor of my room was not cleaned when I moved in and instead a wax seal was put on top sealing in the hair, dirt and food bits that were left behind. In addition to that, the bathroom was horrible. Every corner of the shower had mold spores growing and the shower handle always fell apart. Although there was AC, our room always felt muggy and generally unclean no matter how much we swept. The community ... read more
