Wow. From the moment we walked in the staff’s tone was short and completely unprofessional. Explained to the young woman that we were there to visit, see the grounds and possibly see the/a wedding planner who we’d previously emailed and mentioned we’d be close if she had some time. Didn’t listen to a word I said and I hard to stop here with a polite but firm commitment. We checked in the Emerald Grand on 7/6 there was 8 of us and we used the pull out on the couch. The pull out had some stains but it was ok we just let it go. Our stay was great except for the elevators being in and out of service and finding our way around was nearly impossible. But other than that everything was great, the staff was nice and helped us when we needed extra towels or toilet paper. Until today 7/10 we come home after being out all day. I have never felt so ripped off in my LIFE! After paying over $4k for a 3 bedroom condo for a weeks stay, we arrived to find it smelled odd.. almost like old chips. The carpet was stained in several spots, there was 2 chairs and a dilapidated old couch bed(thankfully we didn’t have to use it) but even sitting on the couch it sunk. For a condo described as sufficient for up to 10 guest, I’m curious if we were suppose to sit on the floor as we visited. The decor looks to be early 90s. Horrible service. Whole bunch of people waiting on rooms that are not ready and staff can do nothing because of being ill prepared. Check in times are incorrect so your money and time is spent waiting on a room that you cannot get into. If you’re going to spend this kind of money you have better options.

Due to high volume this time of year, unfortunately, we do sometimes have longer than normal wait times at check-in. Our housekeeping staff is working diligently to make sure all rooms are cleaned and ready for guests in a timely manner. This was the 5th or 6th time we stayed at Emerald Grande and I’m not sure we will ever come back. IF we do, we will book through vrbo like we have in the past. We have never been disappointed in this place like we were this time. We booked several months ago for a big family vacation (10 people). We had told our family so many good things about this place and boy were we all disappointed especially after paying $5,000 for a week. We booked a 4 bedroom unit. The Emerald Grande is dirty and filthy with outdated electronics and equipment. We recently rented there, paying $3,500 for 7 days stay in the corner suite for our 25 year wedding anniversary vow renewal. We immediately noticed how dirty and filthy it was. Our freezer was not clean from the prior renters. It took 3 or 4 days and numerous phone calls for them to come clean our filthy freezer. Our carpet was filthy with left over toys from prior owners. Okay, so the view is great. We enjoy the parking for the sunset suites. The room itself is large and nice, the entire harbor walk experience is nice. The amenities inside and outside of our room are wonderful, pool- ect staff was great.. Except when we ordered room service last night. The negatives are not terrible by themselves but for the price we expected a LOT better. For example.. all of walls in our suite are dirty and scuffed. We enjoyed the HarborWalk. If your an owner with Club Wyndham, they will disrespect you to a whole other level and then have the nerve to try and upsale you on a timeshare with them. We even left a day early for all of the disrespect. They put us by the trash room and directly across the showroom. When we originally booked, we chose a room facing the harbor, but instead they put us facing a loud road. We had to deal with people going in and out of the showroom at all times during our visit, and not to mention the funky smell... read more
