This was the second time in a row that they claimed to not have the type of car that I reserved. I asked for a full size and they gave me a small cheap looking jeep and tried to convince me that it was an upgrade.

Overall my experience was good. I have rented from Enterprise numerous times. When I picked my car, it was dirty and I had to asked to get it washed. The rep acted like he did want to be bother with cleaning the car and I was told the car was dirty from sitting on the lot overnight. When the car return from the wash, it was totally wet and I was told they don't dry off the car. When I asked about upgrading the price was too high.

I rent with Enterprise a lot, and have always enjoyed your customer service. I have never had a bad experience with the front desk, shuttle drivers or check-out reps.However, when I got there I had only two choices for rentals, a Charger or Fusion. I would have taken the charger except I had a lot of driving to do and thought the Fusion was a more conservative choice. I hopped in the car and drove to my first meeting. We rented a car (Nissan Altima); its aerodynamics were totally compromised. Perhaps it had had accident before. Moreover, the wheel alignment was totally out, so i had to hold the steering very firmly. It put a lot of pressure upon my arms. You should be really peering into a car that you want to rent.

I was disappointed with the lack of care this branch had on our visit. We arrived at approx. 11pm. I made the reservation a month prior and also called the week before to confirm there would be no issue with the car seat I included for my 2 year old.After checking in we were told they had 1 car seat left. The only problem with that was the seat was soaking wet and was not working as the rep stated the prior renter must have moved the buckles around. Their fix? Loved the service at the counter and once we brought back the car we loved the guys that greeted us back along with the driver!!! Only thing we did not like was the car. It was a ford fiesta with 31000 miles. The transmission kept on skipping and the engine sounded like it wanted to pop out of there. We will come back to rent from enterprise regardless...hopefully they'll rent us a better car.

I used a one-way rental to Wisconsin. Pickup was easy, however the drop-off in WI wasn't due to different computer systems. The IL office has to close out the invoice. Their IVR is HORRIBLE if you want to talk to someone, so it took 5 days before the manager called me back a second time to get credit card information, which should have been "good" when I left O'Hare.

We've been Enterprise customers for years, but lately we've had several negative experiences. They no longer seem to be maintaining their fleet. On the past two occasions once in Miami and once in Chicago we had warning lights - check engine and extremely low tire pressure. Dealing with these problems took time out of our vacation. While we were in Chicago the shuttle to the airport also broke down on the way back to the terminal. We were stuck in a very busy intersection. Nothing wrong with the car itself, but had several troubles with the staff after pick-up, including difficulty reaching a manager, difficulty getting clear answers, and when someone did call me back (many days after I returned the car), they were of no help whatsoever.I would like to say that my comment is restricted to the Chicago O'Hare office. I actually asked for help at another Enterprise location in Bataviaand they were excellent help (Thanks Cooper and Tom!). But for whatever reason, the 2 systems are not hooked up to... read more
