My mother and I started working with Heather Leonas over a year ago. At that time, our house hadn’t been built yet, so we were in the very beginning stages of the whole process when we went to Ethan Allen in Portland. We met with Heather then and we talked about ideas and she worked off of our blueprints we had. Fast forward nearly 9 months later – during this time, Heather was very patient with us. We reached out to her when we were ready for her interior design expertise. She came to our place a few times with samples, took measurements, and always offered sound advice on furniture pieces, fabric choices, and furniture placement within a room. Heather has been invaluable to our mother-daughter duo. Our design styles and wants are similar, but our personalities vary a bit. Heather adapted very well to our differences, and always asked us individually what we thought about a couch style or a fabric swatch, for example. Heather has been a pleasure to work with, and we highly recommend her, as well as Julia Mullen (she and Heather work closely together), to anyone who is thinking about shopping at Ethan Allen in Portland.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by very friendly faces and such helpful customer service. From design, to ordering to scheduling delivery, and what completely pushed me towards providing an exemplary review, was that my designer offered to come to my home the day of delivery To ensure that the final aspect of my order is handled flawlessly. I am happy to provide this review on behalf of the team and my designer, Karen, that works in this store- it’s been a rewarding experience for me. My room is going to be beautiful and I will enjoy my new pieces for years to come. Exactly the help I was looking for- right size, color and style. Thank you for treating me so well.
