The students and professors are very caring and diverse. Most are very open-minded and look for success in every student. This is a great place to start your future. This is a great place to get an idea what you may want in life, look into your interests more, and even begin something that will be life-changing. more »

It took me years to finally go back to school. I made a mess of my previous time, but the staff was incredible at helping me clean things up. I am in the paralegal/legal assistant program, primarily at the Fort Collins branch. I love my instructors, academic counselor, librarians, tutors, and the disabilities office staff. I can not say enough how wonderful they have been to me -- they moved mountains. And although some of the instructors turned out to be far from appropriate, my program head did everything to fix the issues for us and we are back on track to receiving a comprehensive education. more »

My Math and Communication courses were exactly as I expected. I enjoyed my teacher in Mat 050 but feel like I should have been given more time. In Mat 020 I enjoyed my teacher most of the time but feel like he needs to be taught more in the way of disabilities and shouldn't be saying they are "Just an excuse". My Bio 105 instructor was one of the worst I've had. The day I told her I had accommodations she asked why. Due to FERPA and the ADA that information is protected by law. She didn't understand that I needed help and didn't keep up with her responsibilities therefore I decided to withdraw. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. My Communication class was the best of all. I enjoyed having my Com 225 instructor and appreciate that she knew a lot about disabilities and what to do when a student has disabilities. I would recommend her to anyone that needs either Group Comm., Organizational Comm. or Interpersonal Comm. more »

Hi Chris--thanks for your great feedback! I'm glad to hear that you had such a great experience with your communication instructor! But I'm very sorry to hear that you had some difficulty with your accommodations in other classes. Our main priority is the success of each and every student, and it sounds like we still have some work to do in that area. I'll be in contact with our Student Affairs deans to see how we can improve in the future.

All and all my spring classes went well I think I will be taking any more hybrid classes my hybrid I don’t think there is enough time in an hr and a half to learn anything in class and we really didn’t do anything more on line then usual. My English class went pretty good there was a heavy work load but it was manageable. Would definitely pick another instructor the one I had was not very helpfull and no mater how hard I tried I never could get my grade above a c on papers and that was having my work check and double checked by someone that always did well in English more »

First. Do Computer Science I: C++ if you want to actually learn the language! The instructor chooses a text book by Walter Savitch that covers everything you could want to know. The instructor ensures you are well prepared for any quizzes and exams by providing weekly videos to watch. If you do the work and read the material, complete the projects and watch the videos, you will do well. The instructor does ask tough questions but nothing that is not covered in the material. Good class. I learned a lot. Second. The A+ preparation class is a very good class that not only covers the book material you need to know to pass the CompTia exam, you will complete in class projects such as building and dismantling computers, troubleshoot, and install operating systems. In addition, you will cover upcoming tech in the news and you can take the CompTia A+ exam on campus. Really good. A+! more »

I had a great experience here with a clear and considerate professor in a small class setting. The only downside was that the campus was in a non-traditional building. It felt more like a business park than a community college. more »

So far over the last two semesters I've had a wonderful time attending FRCC. My teachers have been caring and respectful, and have often gone out of their way to help their students achieve success. I look forward to Summer and Fall semesters here. I am also currently a work study employee at the college and I must say this is the most positive experience I have had working for anyone....period. I highly recommend becoming a workstudy if you qualify for it through finanical aid. more »
