Family trip to NYC We stayed 3 days. One of the days we were without water in the morning and again in the evening. That made our trip a little rough. There are 32 floors and only 2 elevators. Again, that was a little rough. Also, rooms were the smallest rooms I have ever seen. However, the staff was very kind. They did reduce the rate for one of the days, and the breakfast was nice. It was also in a good location to get to the subway and many attractions.
Close to many sights.
What makes this hotel stand out is the people running it, cleaning it, putting breakfast together, stashing your bags when you need them stashed, and checking you in and out. They deal with so much, and they do it with humor and a firm kindness. The hotel itself is fine. It’s a little old, and the neighborhood is less a neighborhood than a tourist center, with all the complications that comes with. I stayed here once before, and what brought me back was the people who work here. And I will be back again.
So nice to be within a few blocks of Times Square. There were convenience stores, food carts, and restaurants close by. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The breakfasts were good, and so convenient to be able to not have to think about one meal before heading out for our busy days!
