already saving for next year!!!!! this is a wonderful place to stay. its off the beaten/tourist path and is the perfect place for a honeymoon or just to get away for some relaxation. the music and beach are within walking distance and well worth the trip!!!!

Quaint bed & breakfast with character Very friendly staff, delicious breakfast. Magnolia room is very small but the Hibiscus room next door is huge.
Overpriced for what I received. Could have stayed at Preserve for same price and will in future.
The breakfast was almost inedible; hard tough frittata and they charge a dollar for coffee refill which at these rates is obscene. Terrible bedding and towels, and repairs construction next to my bungalow started at 9a. ONLY positive thing about this place is the location, the owner knows that and takes advantage of it. I don't mind funky, and had the breakfast been half way decent it would have helped. Avoid this place if you can.

We certainly hate to see this was your feeling about your experience. The dollar up charge is for specialty drinks, definitely not refills, sorry if someone wasn't clear about that! We are finishing up some repairs and painting on property and know this can be a nuisance. We apologize for that! Not sure if you told anyone, so we could try and help you while you were here???? Uncomfortable beds. The bed and pillows were awful, it felt like we were camping with cardboard pillows. The air conditioning also did not work well. They did have 2 fans but it was still hot and sticky. We slept horribly and for the price I was expecting something decent. Breakfast was the upside to the stay. The staff was also nice.

Our room was charming, but hot. The A/C wasn't great in the whole place. We stayed in the Magnolia room which is right above the kitchen. So if you want to sleep in past 5 or 6am, ask for a different room because the walls are very thin. We arrived about 5 minutes before check in and the lady who was there to check us in was very short with us. She seemed genuinely bothered to have to do her job. She made a snide comment about check in being at 3pm and asked what room we were staying in because noy all the rooms were cleaned... read more

We are so sorry to hear this was your experience. I'm pretty certain it was myself that you're speaking of from the office and the Cafe. I apologize if you felt I was being rude in any way, I most definitely was not trying to be! Yes we are extremely busy and yes we are short staffed and yes we are on a significant time crunch every day to try and get your rooms ready, but Id never take it out on ya all, on purpose. Please don't allow that one bad day to deter you from experiencing Hibiscus and all it offers!
