The hotel room was small, elevator was super slow! The worst thing is AC in the room was very LOUD! We woke up multiple times during the night. I complained to the manager but was told no room available to switch! I will never come to this hotel again and would tell my friends not come to it!
Not my first choice I have stayed at this property several times in the past year and this is the second time I am certain someone was in my room during my time away despite having do not disturb on the door. First time there was an extremely heavy cologne smell, second time AC was turned on despite me turning the system off.
Elevator was not working
I booked one night here through Expedia and was told at the check in counter that the hotel was overbooked and I would have to stay at a replacement (non-brand) hotel a few blocks away. The replacement hotel was totally unacceptable with torn carpets and dirty doors. I was still charged the full Hilton rate even though the replacement hotel rate was over $200 less than the Hilton rate. only one elevator working gym was locked
If you are looking for a cheap hotel, this is it! The hotel's location is fantastic, but the property is run down. The carpet in the bedrooms and hallways is stained and dirty, and the paint and wallpaper are aging and falling. Overall, it gives you Hotel Cecil vibes. It's about time that Hilton invested in the hotel a bit—do some remodeling—especially for the rate they are charging. The Holiday Inn’s in NYC are in much better condition.
