While it is located in great proximity to the World Trade Center and the financial district, the balcony room we stayed in was very small amd cramped, the carpet was wet, worn out and the room smelled very musty, the balcony was dirty

Hidden charges Thought I had pre-paid for my hotel through Hotels.com. They charged me 17.31 for each night I stayed which came out to an additional 34 dollars on my bill. I was told it was a destination fee. It was to cover an upgraded internet and box breakfast Neither of which we received. Have loved staying here in the past. Think I will look for a new place to stay with these hidden fees. My room end up an additional 17 dollars a night. Very disappointed! Very angry!

The Shealter Hotel This place was awful I would never recommend this to anybody with kids
The most terrible experience I've had in decades The hotel is FILTHY. There was a rancid smell in the elevators and on ever floor. When asked about it, the Secretary said it was GAS from the kitchen flowing through the vents. Is that safe?! We was checked in to a room, and a few hours later there was a cockroach crawling all over the wall and coffee maker.
