Do not ever use I 20 animal hospital. I paid my complete bill and because they had a falling out with their payment company for icare and did not recieve all their money they turned me in to collections. My dogs surgery was 4000 plus her follow up surgery and cleaning made it almost 5600 total. Honestly would I pay all that and leave only a couple hundred dollars and risk being turned in to collections??? they also tried to convince me to give her to one of their techs but told me I would still have to pay the bill. awful ve... read more
Had the worst vet experience in my history of vet visits. Icing on the cake is when they had been overpaid by me (I was owed several hundred dollars back), I was told that unless I agreed to sign a waiver that I was taking my dog back against medical advice (which I refused to sign for several reasons), they refused to give me my dog. They threatened, and then did, call the police on me! They felt they had the legal right to keep my dog barring that waiver. They owed ME money, yet held my dog hostage. They put my dog under for an operation without oxygen and she suffocated. I will never take any of my animals to this place.
Not happy with my experience with this clinic. We just moved to the area so I decided to give I-20 Animal Hospital a try....terrible mistake! I waited 2 hours for a routine visit during normal business hours which I had an appointment for! Communication between the vet and staff is terrible! No one seems to have the answers to any of your questions...they have to leave the exam room to go see if someone else knows the answer. I took my dog in as an emergency because it was after hours. Everyone was friendly especially the young receptionist. My problem was the vet. His name is Putnam or something similar. He had my Boston terrier on the exam table and was wanting to look in her throat. Bostons are stubborn pups. She clamped her jaws shut. Here is my experience at I-20 animal hospital: my dog got tore up by something while we were away from home, she suffered multiple puncture wounds and a broken jaw from this. I went there as it was the closest emergency clinic as soon as I found her. I asked for an X-ray so we could see what exactly was going on and then move forward from there. Poor communication and customer service. They don't do what they say. They missed the fact that my dog had bone cancer. Found out through a second opinion and they suggested getting radiologist to look at it closer. This hospital said I don't see that & I wouldn't recommend sending to radiologist bc there is no need. Yet, he had BONE CANCER!!! This is why his leg broke & yet their estimate of $3-$5 K to fix him. We had to be proactive bc we were getting NO INFORMATION!!! These people are only interested in money, they care nothing about your animal. We spent more time talking about payment options before they started on my mothers sick dog. The should be there to help animals first, but no.. they are into it for only the money. Compassion is out the door with this group.
