They are definitely more interested in the money then in the care for the animals. Took my dog in there was quoted $930 for services, then I had them start the process went to pick the dog up that evening, the bill was $1320 some dollars, had already paid $720, was told I had to pay the balance, could not, so they took back all the dogs pain killers and antibiotics! No call about the excessive money, was told the assistant that figured the first quote made mistakes.
RecommendedI had to make the difficult decision to put my 13 year old lab down over the weekend. I am new to Texas and was desperate to find somewhere to take care of me and my dog. I had no issues getting in quickly and let us take our time to spend with her, but when we decided it was time the staff out front got extremely loud when we were trying to let go our baby go. We took a dog of ours there that had been bitten on the right front leg and neck. The leg had an open puncture wound that needed stitches. The on duty vet gave her assessment and left the exam room. The Vet tech came in shortly after that and gave us a quote for services to be performed. $1200.00!!!! That quote was unreasonable. We were then asked what was our budget for the dog and they would see what they could do. Bottom line was they couldn't provide services that were within our budget. If you love your dog and don't want to be ripped off and treated terrible then please do not go here! Worst vet experience ever, the staff was rude and I still regret taking her to this place. My dog was hit by a car and even though tests came back showing things weren't near as bad as we thought (only a dislocated hip and a tear in abdominal wall, no broken bones and all major organs were fine) they were going to charge $8,000+ to fix her. I think they need to change the name because they certainly are NOT open 24 hours! I called twice shortly after 1 a.m. no answer. I drove to the location. Used the intercom like the sign said to do after 10 p.m. The lights both inside and out came on for a few seconds. I saw a man across the lobby through the door glass. Still no one answered. They are NOT a true 24 hour vet! Thank God for Metro West!
This vet is all about the money if you go there and got money your dog may live thay chg me 600 dollars for lab work and my dog had to go to another vet to get treated thay told me that if a man did not have money and was going to die thay would let him so please stay away from this place if you love your dog
Will never be back. Brought my mini shih tzu in after her eye was hurt by a plant. First visit told just a scratch and given eye drops, paid couple hundred dollars.... 2 days later (now a holiday) told it's actually a hole in her eye and requires surgery immediately. I allowed them to do a surgery to remove her one bad eye. My teenaged daughter was handed a badly injured kitten by people who hit it on a busy road. Not wanting to just throw the kitten down to let her die, we took her to the nearest "animal hospital". These people wanted to charge US for being kind, compassionate citizens and doing what was right. How very unkind. They gave us the option of either paying for all the work they would have to do, leave her for dead outside, or leave while she was still bleeding and in pain and take her to the humane society.
