A more personal touch would have been better. All I ever received from the Fowler team was email after email. There was little to no actual human communication either in person or via telephone. Having at least some interaction with a designated individual to assist in the extended transaction would have made it a much better experience.

Too many people were involved in the process which many times created confusion. It took at least 3 requests to get the prepaid homeowners insurance taken off the closing statement.

Jerry did not communicate with us at all during the loan process. We would get notifications from the app and he would relay personal information to the seller and expect the seller to inform and update us. He messed up our loan causing us to pay well over what was agreed on during our first meeting, had us back date and resign documents, and caused the seller to lose money as well. We will never use Bank South Mortgage again and will tell others to stay away.

The communication between BankSouth, the sellers, and myself was sparse, unorganized, and oftentimes incorrect. Our closing date ended up being almost a month later than we were told, our closing costs were more than we were quoted, our interest rate was higher, and I was blamed for this despite doing everything exactly as I was instructed. . At no point in this experience did I feel like anyone cared about getting my business.

There was a last minute emergency due to missed checks during the loan application that assumed we were selling our current home to finance the down payment on the new home. On the day of closing it was a mad scramble to get all that was required to still close on time. It was disappointing that our signing was not just a formality but a high stress event.
