Knight Carpet took advantage of my parents in the worst way. My parents bought $25,000 worth of carpet from them and then took a drastic downward spiral in their health. We asked the salesmen we had been working with if we could change the carpet now that neither parent was suitable for living there and it needed to be ready for sale instead of their comfort. We regret that we have an unhappy customer and would like to explain this transaction. In September of 2018 the customers came in over a period of several weeks looking at carpet, they decided on a high end carpet and paid a deposit to order, which we did. They said they would be ready for it in about a month. After 6 months they still were not ready so we asked them to go ahead and pay for the rest of the carpet, not the pad or labor, and they did. If you are considering going with Knight Carpet and Flooring, don't do it! Not only are they dishonest and don't stand behind their product, but they have very lazy installers that made countless mistakes in my home. I contacted Knight for an estimate to get vinyl plank installed throughout my living room, hallways, and master bedroom to replace the old carpet. We regret to have a dis-satisfied customer. However, in this day and age of social media, we feel that it is important to address the concerns presented. The customer did in fact ask about leveling and was given a written disclaimer that the floor preparation provided including minor floating of cracks and undulation. However, the disclaimer also stated that major floor preparation was not included and subject to additional costs if requested.
