Stopped by on Friday Pizza night. Loved the pear goat cheese salad when we subbed baby spinach for rocket. Then had the Turk pizza with lamb. Maybe a great tapas but not great pizza. Sorry but we like lots of crust and cheese. Nice to sit at the front with windows open and not be on the street. No specials offered at 6pm. Maybe we missed happy hour.
Food was great, atmosphere was very crammed but you expect that end of year celebrations. Waitress looking after our table was very polite and provided drinks in a timely manner. Considering how hot it was, not enough water was provided it topped up. We were a group booking who had arranged drinks in 1 tab and guests go up and pay off what they drank, however on the day rude waiter said no, had to be paid in one bill which was very disappointing.
Had a table of 20 with the shared tapas and pizza. Most of the tapas options were tasty and there was a good variety but portions way too small for the number of people we had. They were gone within seconds. Pizza course took a while to come out but this time there was enough for everyone and a decent amount of leftovers too. I liked the variety of being able to try 5-6 items off the menu, but it was a little expensive for what it was. Service was great but a little slow.
Outcome is dependant on what you order. I am not a Gnocci fan but what the kitchen produced was outstanding. Chicken wings, seasoned well with a good flavour combo and crispy. Kransky with potato salad, nothing to ride home about, exactly how you would imagine taste wise. Hommus, generous serving, good taste and filing. Hollumi, tasty. Pizzas tasted good but the egg for me was a miss on the mushroom / truffle pizza. Wouldn't go out of my way for pizzas though. We have been eating here for many years and the food is great. However if you are going to force everyone to eat a set menu, then at least have the food come out in a timely manner, instead of making us wait a long time between courses.
