This place treated my black wife with so much respect. The nurse specifically was Alyson working night shift. She came multiple times, I mean like every 30-40 mins helping her change positions, putting a ball between her legs, sitting on a ball every thing in the book to make her dilate faster. Multiple nurses came in there with her helping her shift positions. They took their time. Listened to her. They were amazing. Love Mercy Hospital Birthing and Mother Unit!!! 10/10 Best experience Everrr!!! Took really good care of Me and My son during the whole process and was very respectful, Helping and all in all Awesome experience!!! Surgeons was great as well, Being a 1st time Mom is scary not knowing what to expect but My experience going through Mercy was definitely worth it!!! Thank you Mercy Birthing/Mother unit, Thank You To the C- Section surgeons You really made my visit comfortable!!!
A couple of the nurses were amazing and the majority were mediocre at best. OB told us one thing and nurses said another. Black mold on sink faucet in bathroom in the “suite”. Got released at 1:30 and they decided to send the pain meds to a pharmacy that closed at 1:30 so we sat in another pharmacy for over an hour waiting for a new prescription while my wife was in a lot of pain. Overall was a joke of an experience :)
I am seldom compelled to write reviews for anyone. However, I can't understate how amazing our experience with MercyOne was for the birth of our first child. First off, I want to give a special thank you to our L&D nurse Erica. You were exceptional with your care and guidance during the entire process-- I am so thankful you were in that day to support us. We delivered our beautiful baby girl in December 2023 and LOVED our team on delivery day. We never felt pressured to make a decision while at the hospital by the doctor (Dr. Jenkins) who delivered our baby. I will say that there are a few doctors who we have crossed paths with as being pushier - ones who encouraged induction when we wanted everything to progress naturally - but we felt lucky to get the doctor we wanted.
