Mitchell Homes - Fredericksburg, VA

Building a retirement home in Madison VA with Mitchell. Process has gone very well. After several year searching, talking to more builders than I want to remember, we decided on Mitchell for their designs and ease of project. Total turnkey project, we should be in by July. :)

Mitchell Homes gave us great customer service and guided us every step of the way. Lloyd overlooked our home being built and went the extra mile to explain everything to us and let us know our options. We have been in our home about 9 months and we absolutely love it. I have had random people driving by stop and complement my home. I have recommended Mitchell Homes to many people already.

We bought our home nearly 2 years ago and are overall quite satisfied. The initial builder/lender process was rocky, and we would suggest establishing financing prior to seeking the builder. The construction was completed satisfactorily and on schedule. The 2-month warranty was honored and for the most part, repair and maintenance were done satisfactorily. In some cases, the work had to be re-done due to poor first attempts. From the 2-12-month warranty period, we kept a comprehensive list of items that required work or repair. Because the house was settling during that period, there were numerous nail pops and drywall cracks and extensive painting was needed. The contractors spot painted the entire house and the paint used did not match the original exactly. There is a visible difference in paint on nearly every wall that was painted! Also the nail pops and wall cracks appeared well after the 1-yr period. Through the whole process, the staff was very helpful and accommodating.
