This company's installers are nice and hard working but the Company itself business practises are unptofessional. An agent comes to your home looks at the job and writes it up and you agree on the price. You have to pay on the day BEFORE they start the job. That is when, after they have your money you are told that it will cost more for this of that. I paid for floating stairs to be wrapped with carpet. It was written up that way but when the installers came they tell me it was written up for a closed staircase. Not my mista... read more
Terrible experience! ********** gave me a quote for $1800. The *** salesman first quoted $2800 but when I told him about my first quote he said he'd match their price. I was scheduled for a Saturday install and it was now Tuesday evening around 7. He said *** would do the install on Friday. The color I wanted wouldn't be available for two weeks so I settled for a color he said they had in stock. He told me to give him a deposit and accepted my check. I was told the installer would remove the old carpet and install the new,but when the installer arrived he said I had to remove the old carpet,but I said no I had a bad back and what do I know of removing carpet, I was told to sign a form saying I wanted them to install the new carpet over the old,I was disgusted with them and I would never use their company again
on october 23 2021 The National Flooring Direct they semi completed the flooring in my laundry room by subcontractor installers. We w ere told by the salesman *************************** that came to our house and took measurements of the bedrooms and our living room and our family room, laundry room upstairs hallway and stairs and the foyer. *** assured us that the contractors were professionals and that they knew what they were doing.We informed *** that our house just gotten painted. I am disappointed I chose this company because once installation was complete, and I paid in full my complaints were not handled well at all. The installation team stole from me, and they left exposed, very sharp nails poking out along the back of the newly carpeted stairs. Two of my children were injured and bleeding from stepping on the nails, and that is how I discovered what a terrible they actually did! The salesman came to my house as planned and gave me an estimate of about *****. When I told him that was way too high, he made a phone call and all of a sudden the price went down to just under ***** for one room of carpeting and a vinyl floor in a hallway and a den area. After deciding to go with them and make the deal, he insisted on a check or cash only for the deposit (this should have been the first red flag). I would like to leave a review about my carpet but I cant because NFD has canceled my install 3 weekends in a row. I had financed my order and I have already been charged for a product I dont have! I have been lied to by costumer service and my order is apparently under o wrong name and have told them each time I have called. And I have called many times.
My floor installation took place today It was a very small bathroom floor with no tear out of the old floor lay over with laminate. Things started ok but ended badly with the installer sitting on my bathroom tub on the phone for about a half hour on a personal call while there was still floor to finish!!And his co workers took off in their van to go to another job mid way through the install.Needless to say at 6:30pm he is still waiting for the others to return to bring caulking to finish the install and give him a ride home... read more
Pricing model is usurious. Sales person came to quote a basement flooring job. He measured and showed me his most cost effective material. HIs initial quote was $16K but would accept $14k if I signed that day. I told him I was expecting a price of less that half of his quote. He made one phone call and came back with a new price of $7k! How is this possible? Same material, same job.
