Even though I have lived in the city for a number of years, I avoided finding an NY based dentist (I just stuck with my NJ based one) because it was just too exhausting and I didn't want to risk having a bad experience (I only go to the dentist about once a year, which I know is not often enough). You read that right, I LOVE my dentist! Like everyone I had bad dental experiences as a child. No one likes to feel that loss of control, and I thought I would never ever get over it. \r \r I avoided going to the dentist for many years because of these bad experiences, but thank God I found Dr. Laura Ruof through a co-worker. \r \r To start, the office doesn't have that regular dentist office smell. Extremely positive experience. The office is warm and inviting, which is helpful for a dental practice! The staff from reception, assistants, hygienist to the dentist (I had Dr. Ruof) were all very friendly and professional, being able to put me at ease while also being very knowledgeable. Highly recommended!
office is very clean and front desk is extremely nice and helpful with insurance, appt booking and any questions. cleaning was great as well. hygenist was extremely attentive and thorough. made my teeth feel very clean afterwards! also got a filling procedure here but am having some issues with pain afterwards. went back 2 weeks after the procedure for check up but was told to give it some more time. now, a month later, i'm still having pain when i bite down so it's time to revisit. hopefully sanding it down will alleviate t... read more
Great dentist, night and day difference from the old place I went. And crazy enough, they take my same insurance! It's amazing how much better I can get with the same insurance plan and I didn't even know it! Every person I met was super friendly and cheerful, and very personable. The atmosphere was like a nice hotel: classy, clean. Would definitely recommend to anyone, especially if you have MetLife Dental Insurance, as I don't even have a co-pay for regular cleanings!

Not only are my teeth sparkly clean, they did a thorough neck, and mouth check for cancer. i thought i was flossing properly (i go in and side to side), but did you know you need to go back and forth?...bad explanation, they'll show you. they didn't try to hustle me into getting any dental procedures done, and they have the most high tech equipment i've ever seen. on top of that, everybody (reception, dental hygenists, dentists...) this place is great, and i would send my family here if they lived in nyc. thanks park dental!
