My son and I attended a church in Woodinville on Christmas Eve. Sadly, my son was denied communion there because "he didn't know what to do." The priest's words and actions made us feel both unwelcome and unworthy of receiving the Eucharist. Fortunately, we have found healing each time we remind ourselves that Washington Cathedral welcomes ALL believers in Jesus Christ to partake in communion. I have been attending Washington cathedral since 1986. The warmth, the leadership and the biblical base has helped me keep my struggles in life in perspective. The small groups have been a very central part of my Christian walk… laughing, learning and crying our way together through the inevitable “bumps” of life. Very easy place to visit and try out.
I have been at this church for 38 years. It has been a welcoming environment. I can always count on a great sermon, a warm hug and a sweet treat. Our church is growing again. I love how we are incorporating kids into our service again. I am the primary piano player and have been for over 10 years. Love it. Thank you Washington Cathedral family!
If you are new to the Redmond/Woodenville area and are looking for a good place to worship there is no better church then Washington Cathedral. They have the most friendly, kind and caring people there. The music is always so awesome and amazing. We also have many different types of groups that you can join which we call TLC (tiny little churches.) The snacks are so amazing also will.
What a wonderful church. We were running late on Easter Sunday with our 5 year old daughter and drove to Washington Cathedral in hopes to catch the tail end of the Easter egg hunt. We were met by such wonderful and loving people but sadly they ran out of everything. But a few women put together quickly a basked for our daughter and brought a smile to her heart What a perfect example of Easter and its meaning.
