First off, I have been a patient of dentists in that office, since I was 19 and am now 67. Originally, Dr. Powell was my dentist. Then, Dr. Hudson bought the business from him and has been my dentist for many years, so has replaced old fillings when needed, done a front tooth root canal, and sent me to a root canal specialist when any tooth with 4 roots needed a root canal,, as well as sending me to endodonists, when it was evident
I had two teeth that were “slightly mobile” at age 60. Dr. Mumford and Smith confirmed what Dr. Hudson suspected, that the ligament above those teeth was being damaged by the fact that those two teeth were the first to strike my bottom teeth and that the years of that happening had damaged the ligament. Dr. Hudson then told me I would have to have braces followed by crowns on those teeth, because if I did not, those two teeth would eventually come out, leaving me unable to get a bridge or implants, due to poor teeth alignment. I went to Pridemore/Cox for 2 years 9 months to get braces and adjustments of braces as needed, along with great advice on care for my braces and teeth along the journey.. Dr. Cox, was in fact, the one who recognized the telltale sign of tissue peeling which alerted him to my intolerance to sodium laurel sulfate, which led him to recommend I find a toothpaste that doesn’t have sodim laurel sulfate
As always, my experience with Amy cleaning my teeth yesterday, was very pleasant. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. I had not thought to bring a toothbrush and tooth paste to work, so when I told the receptionist , I was provided with both, along with dental floss immediately.I have to have toothpaste without sodium laurel sulfate due to my intolerance for it, and when I asked to exchange the one in the bag for one without it, it was done immediately with a friendly exchange. My teeth were cleaned to perfection by my dental hygienist Amy, while the two of us had a pleasant, personable conversation.
I was offered a flouride treatment for a very low price and immediately said I wanted it, because ofmy knowledge of the benefit. Dr. Scott carefully rechecked my teeth and gums and agreed with the Amy that I had been taking good care of my teeth and gums. I then discussed my upcoming continued implant work which is being done by Dr. Fletcher, an implant specialist, to whom I was referred by Dr. Hudson and Tammy, the officer manager and dental assistant, who has a great amount of knowledge on all aspects of dental care. The lady who takes care of payments then told me what I owed, so I paid, and thanked them all for taking such great care of me, and left.
