In 1984: Mike Gunter, Dwight Sheffler, and Dale Jeffres, all third generation Sandpoint residents, purchased Sandpoint Furniture from Bob Farmin, Chuck Bonar and Bob Nelson. During the next 10 years in their downtown location; Sandpoint Furniture experienced success and growing pains. After much deliberation, they moved the store just minutes north to Ponderay, Idaho.
