Had an appointment here. The PA was incredibly professional and knowledgeable with one of the best bedside manners I’ve ever seen and I work in healthcare. If you’re local I highly suggest calling them. Amazing professionalism I’ve rarely seen in healthcare.
I just had the weirdest experience visiting this office. I came in with concern and left it untreated because the Dr. was rude and dismissive. He was stating facts about my skin that were inaccurate. Also, I got three different answers to the same question regarding how many moles can be removed simultaneously. I got told one thing over the phone, another when I showed up, and a third and different answer by the Dr. I do not recommend this Dermatologist.
I have been with Dr. Sobel for 35 years and NEVER have received such awful service. I made an innocent mistake coming in the following day after my scheduled appointment. The front desk secretary was awful: rolling eyes, had the worst attitude I have ever experienced. I plan on telling the doctor on my next appointment. And if it continues- I will look for another doctor. As much as I love Sobel--- I will be OUT. Life is too difficult already to have to put up with that.
I have been a patient of Dr. Sofman for many years due to my light, sun-damaged skin and family history of skin cancer. He is an expert in his field. He can quickly spot any skin cancer lesions and identify exactly what they are before the biopsy comes back. He is soft spoken and easy to converse with. He listens to what you want checked. For six weeks, I have tried to get an appointment rescheduled. My emails went unanswered. But after threatening to take my business elsewhere, I get a response within the hour. The medical assistant responds (ungrammatically) it’s not her job to schedule and she was trying to help. Then why did she confirm a previous appointment? Why didn’t she communicate the message to the scheduler? Why didn’t she indicate it wasn’t her job to schedule? This isn’t a reflection on the physicians.
