Great outside venue
We came here for a family lunch. They were not able to seat our full party of 8, so we split up until two groups of 4. Atmosphere was nice, food was decent. Waiter was very a
ttentive. Would go back, but only with a smaller group. more »

Nice place for a beer
My wife and I stopped here for a drink and to get out of the hot sun. There’s a large bar and both indoor and outdoor seating. Since it was VERY HOT we sat at the bar (ai
r conditioned). They have a huge beer selection and several specialty drinks. Our drinks were good and reasonably priced for the area. Our bartender was very pleasant. more »

Nice place with a large selection of beers
Been there for lunch with my wife after a visit to the museum the day after the St.Pete GP. Had an awesome hamburger and a tasteful artichoke dip. Best
of all, they have a large selection of beers and an excellent service. We will surely come back next year. more »

Cool Restaurant in Downtown St. Pete
My husband and I ventured to downtown St. Pete for a date night and visited Stillwaters for dinner. Parking might be an issue on Beach Drive, but we found a
garage for $6 a block away and it was an easy walk to the restaurant. The downtown is great - easily walkable and so many cool restaurants, bars, and shops, as well as museums and parks. Stillwaters has both indoor and outdoor seating; we opted to dine inside, but we were seated by the window and were able to people-watch. We started with the smoked fish spread - the menu says it is served with saltines, but they are NOT from a box! They are made in house and are the perfect complement to the spread, which was delicious - a good amount for two and not too heavy of a starter. For entrees, my husband had the Korean-style short ribs (which he gave two very enthusiastic thumbs up) and I ordered the fish of the day, scallops. There were only three scallops but they were HUGE! Perfectly seared and tender. They were served over farro with a mix of mushrooms, artichokes, and spinach, and curried cauliflower, which was a highlight of the dish. The service was average; our server was nice enough, but not particularly attentive. However, we were very happy with our meals and the restaurant atmosphere. It was a great spot to dine and then walk off our dinner around the downtown area! more »

Improved Menu
We recently, with friends, enjoyed a late Friday night dinner at Stillwater Tavern. Our friends are fans of ST while our past experience was less enthusiastic.
In the past we
’ve thought the ST menu to be a bit quirky; not a lot to choices which met our tastes. Our recent experience exhibited a different, far more attractive menu. We were pleased!
Our friends are fans of the seafood special at Stillwater. I followed their example and thoroughly enjoyed the grilled scallops. Our service was equally as good.
We sat on the patio ; a great choice for people watching during Spring Break. One comment however. A couple of screws were missing from my bar stool, it’s only a matter of time before it collapses under a patron.
Parking is always an issue for Beach restaurants; valet is likely the best choice. We walked a couple of blocks. A good idea after dinner if perhaps you over indulged.
We appreciated the menu changes at ST. We’ll be back!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Tim our waiter. The food was well priced and wonderful. It was our first time visiting St. Pete and our First time visiting Still Water Tavern. It is definitely a place we will return to next time we are in the area. more »

Started off rocky when I asked the bartender guy what the temp they keep the draft beer as we were waiting for our table to open up outside... wasn’t a hard question. He was rather rude and walked away with very little insite. The way he said “same temp as the cooler” made me think very soundly about even staying. There are some places that serve beer at near freezing or use nitrogen to make the beer cooler, so it wasn’t a dumb question, simple a question that this “Gentlemen” wasn’t capable of answering obvsiouly. I wanted to only tip the female bartender simply because she was nice and frankly not dickished to my fiancé and the other couple we were with....
Now on the flip side, Christine our waitress was super nice, professional and had great recommendations when asked. She was tentive and every bit the quality we all should expect with such luxuries as eating with drinks out on the town. The food, was exceptionally good and every bit worth the walk over from the condo. I’ll look forward coming back, but I’ll not order at the bar if Mr Baldy with and attitude is the keeper of refreshments. Just saying,
My rating is 4.5, rounded up simply because there wasn’t the option for
Such rating. Eastabliahment she thank their waitress for saving the evening.
Sincerely me.

Pimento Grilled Cheese - thumbs up
Lunch service was quick and they were able to accommodate my friend's dietary needs. Our server was friendly but he disappeared towards the end. I enjoyed
my grilled cheese sandwich of pimento cheese,Gouda, Parmesan, and added bacon. Fries were okay, I'm a little picky and like them extra crispy. My friends had salads with salmon & chicken, the portions looked huge! A little overpriced for my lunch choice but still tasty. They offer a nice outdoor patio with views of the water that would be wonderful for brunch or sunset dinner. A nice place for lunch but nothing about our experience stood out. more »

Huge, delicious cuban sandwiches...poutine not so good.
Four of us enjoyed lunch here with mixed reviews. The housemade gin/ginger drink was excellent! The cuban sandwiches are large and wonderf
ul. I had the poutine. They add pulled pork on it which had a weird sweetness to it I did not like. The chicken vegetable soup also had a weirdness to it- too much cumin? The atmosphere is really cool and the wait staff attentive and freindly. more »

We had excellent food and great service on our visit to Stillwaters. We chose the restaurant because of the ambiance and interesting menu, and only after we were seated did we realize that the meal is free on your birthday. Since one of our party was celebrating her birthday, she was thrilled to find out her meal would be free! more »

Very good food. Place was packed and they offered the bar while we waited a short time.
Actually felt like they wanted to get us a table unlike the usual indifference we saw at some other pla
ces in St Pete.
Waiter was good and attentive and not a pest.

Food was very good and entree was large. Fish and chips was very good , well seasoned and fried. Might consider sharing, due to portion size.... three large filets.
Good craft beer selection.

If we come back here , we will return !

Just good, they made up well for the waiting time.
Food is great, service is slow (we got compensated though, larger drink and free garlic bread) and pricing is above average.
Really not m

Great food and people watching!
Stopped by today to share an appetizer and have a drink. Had an excellent tuna poke! Atmosphere was great - love the look. Had a booth by the window for Great peo
ple watching. Lots of tables outside as well. Only downside was the server - seemed like he had too many tables and no personality. I would definitely recommend it for a bite to eat. Happy hour specials too! more »

Had dinner at Stillwaters for the very first time about two weeks ago. The service was amazing. The menu is very diverse... anywhere from Bao Buns to Shrimp and grits(which I had). My one friend had a falafel burger which she loved and my other friend had the pulled pork mac n cheese (she ate the whole plate). To have such a diverse menu and have every thing taste great is a wonderful accomplishment. Next time I'm in Florida, I will be back. more »
