I really tried to make things work here, but in the end I'm very thankful we had a short lease. There's a lot of issues. For starters, our apartment was not inspected by management before we moved in, nor was it cleaned. Yet somehow they will take your money when you move out for "cleaning" even though we deep cleaned before we left (it was in WAY better condition than how we found it). We toured this apartment community recently, and while the property itself was quite nice and well-maintained, our experience with the leasing staff was mixed. Before visiting, we spoke with a leasing agent named Resee over the phone, who was very kind, helpful, and welcoming. That interaction gave us a positive first impression. Oh where do I start! Let me start by saying that I'm absolutely in love with my apartment! I came from a pretty large house and had to move due to my landlord selling. I was afraid to move to a smaller place, especially an apartment! My unit is so beautiful and has so much character! This apartment has some serious problems. Good news is that the rent is really really cheap. Bad news is that some of these available units suffer from stale cigarette smoke damage, cheap appliances, and wood roach infestations. Once you have an infestation of wood roaches, say goodbye to a significant portion of your mental health because they don't just go away. Review for Baxter Apartments I’ve lived at this property for over 6 years and have seen at least three different managers come and go. The only reason I’ve stayed this long is because of the convenient location for my work commute. During my time here, I’ve moved between different units — from one-bedroom flats and townhomes to two- and three-bedroom apartments — and every move came with its own set of problems.
