I highly recommend the Elder & Disability Law Firm of Victoria L. Collier, PC. Victoria and her staff have been unflaggingly helpful to me and my late mother in so many ways. They helped set my mother’s mind at ease when she began making plans for her own care.

Victoria helped throughout the application process for widow’s VA benefits, and always had sage advice for the more than 10 years that my mother was a client.

Melanie Richardson, the firm’s social worker, made regular visits throughout the rest of my mother’s life, and was so helpful in recommending hospice services.

Other staff members assisted with VA paperwork and recommended links to other senior services that helped with things like Meals on Wheels and finding assisted living.

Everyone at the firm just made it so much easier to cope with the situation as my mother’s dementia progressed. I want to say thank you for their help and support.

Victoria worked with me while my Mom was in nursing home to help me determine how to meet her needs and access VA benefits. I contacted Victoria after my Mom's death to probate will and settle her estate. I really appreciated the care and thorough work done by her firm. It is a blessing to have someone you can talk to with questions on elder care. more »

A friend gave me a list of the five 'best' Atlanta Elder Law attorneys. She said they're all good, but Victoria is 'nice' - that made all the difference. She was responsive, informative, knowledgeable and even has free workshops you can attend before you choose an attorney. I can't speak more highly of her - she was wonderful! more »

As tough as the decision was, it finally became clear that my grandmother needed nursing home care. Victoria and her staff walked with me from start to finish. While the entire staff was great, Sherry Postell's personal attention was particularly exceptional. From placement in a skilled nursing facility, to deciding what to do with the house and other assets, to obtaining Medicaid approval, I found the team to be very knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate. more »

I highly recommend Victoria Collier's Elder Law Firm and, in fact, have referred friends to the firm with utmost confidence they will be well taken care of. Victoria and her impressive staff graciously and seamlessly guided us through the terminal illness of one parent and the extended dementia care of another. This firm is most expert in finding the best and most appropriate care while protecting the integrity and dignity of elderly loved ones.
I am very grateful that I discovered these fine professionals.

Victoria Collier and her staff have been wonderful helping us to protect my 89 year old mother's assets. Sherry Postell personally went to the bank with me to set up a Trust for my mom and she has guided us in how to manage mom's huge bills for long-term care. Chris Ashcraft was able to get full VA benefits for my mom (my deceased father was in World War II) and we didn't even know these benefits were available. Victoria Collier personally visited my mom in her long-term care facility and was so gentle and thorough explaining everything to her. She assured my mom that she (Victoria) was my MOM's attorney (not mine) and would be looking after her best interest. Mom keeps Victoria's card with her at all times for reassurance. Thanks to the work of this firm, we will not have to sell my mom's beloved home until she is deceased, and that means the world to this amazing 89 year old woman. more »

When dealing with estate planning, wills, and the "what if" situations of life, you want someone that is very knowledgable. But beyond that you want to work with someone that takes the time to assess your individual needs. Victor Collier and her staff are very professional and knowledgable. They also show compassion and sincere concern for your individual needs.. Follow up is provided and you feel that you are a valued client. more »

Trusted friends recommended Victoria's firm when our parents' physical and mental health began to decline. My siblings and our spouses would join me in saying that Victoria and her staff have lived up to that recommendation. They were patient, kind, and clear when they met with our parents. They approach their work with competence, character, and compassion. For 4 years they have been guiding us through a maze of wills, estates, decisions, and directives. These folks are top tier professionals who are also friendly and work well with people. You don't always find that combination. With Victoria and her team you do. more »

Both my Mother and I used Victoria Collier for our estate planning. In my opinion Victoria is an expert in her field and I would not hesitate to recommend her. I can’t say enough good things about Victoria and her staff. They are experts in their field, they are professional, they are courtesy, they work hard to please their clients and as an added bonus they are fun to talk with. more »

The Elder & Disability Law Firm staff of Victoria L Collier is very nice. They offered a free HCPOA Day May 18th it was free. I took advantage of it with me getting older I want to have everything in place so my children will not have to try and figure things out. I would highly recommend. Ms. Raines sets the atmosphere in the office because she is the first person you meet in the office. more »

When I asked the CEO of a medical company -- a man who knows many people in eldercare -- if he knew any good eldercare lawyers, he immediately said, "No!" This sent me on an intense search for a good eldercare lawyer in Atlanta, which, to our family's great fortune, happened to be one of the best in the entire country: Victoria Collier.

Victoria is a lawyer's lawyer. She writes books, makes videos, and conducts seminars for other lawyers on how to negotiate the shifting sands of our legal and medical system -- a "system" in which there are so many rules that a layman cannot know them, with rules that are applied with unknowable custom.

Planning early with Victoria helped to save my mother's way of life when my father was stricken with Alzheimer's. More recently, when my mother wanted to protect her estate for her children, she set up a trust with Victoria's firm.

The best thing about Victoria and the people with whom she has surrounded herself is that she genuinely cares for her clients. This is her way of doing good in the world, and it's an important mission. One of her associates told me recently that, if they ever end up in court, they feel like they have failed because it indicates that planning was not advanced or detailed enough.

My father was a veteran of World War II, but Victoria helped identify other benefits that were more appropriate than the Veteran's benefits. She has a broad and detailed knowledge of eldercare law, and applies that to care for her clients. What a pleasure and a blessing to have a firm like Victoria L. Collier on your team!
