This is a real community where every person is treated like a good friend. The Villages is so professionally managed that everything is extremely well thought out. Every detail has been carefully designed, every employee exudes real care for each other and the residents. I just moved my mother here. If I could give 10 stars, I would!!
My wife and I recently spent several days at The Villages of Farragut visiting my in-laws to help them during a health event. My impression after close interactions with the residents, staff and management is that this is a first-rate facility, motivated by a genuine vocation of service and hospitality to our dear elders. I can easily say that from the servers to the Director the Villages personnel is constantly bending over backwards to ensure the needs of residents are addressed with selflessness and a smile.
I have worked for this company as a wait staff for months until I was told by the Chef Daniel who confronted me while I was eating lunch that since I only work 4 hours, I am not allowed to take my break.The manner by which the situation was handled,was very unprofessional and he singled me out, when there were other employees who worked also part time When I went to the director, she was nonchalant and was not helpful. Bottom line of what I feel, I was discriminated by age because the chef likes the servers to be young.
I unfortunately at least have to give a 1 star to leave a review. The director of the facility has absolutely no care for her employees. She will lay off employees with the reason being they hired too many employees. Then promise that you will be scheduled again only to find out that 3 weeks later you are being terminated instead because you asked via text message when you were going to be put back on the schedule.
