Had an reservation for 8:00 and we were not seated until 8:20
It was my husband' birthday so, I decided take him to Thom Thom Steak and Sea food house for dinner. Suprise him to a beautiful dinner instead, left disappointed with the service. He asked for, "Combo Steak and lobster " received just steak. Waiter forgot to add a combo. I understand things happen and we forget. And Service needs improvementioned. A little more attentiveness to your customers.
We were 15 minutes early for a 6:30 PM reservation. We told the hostess that we didn't want sit near the bar. She brought us through the bar, up a staircase to a refurbished attic- like room that looked like a school cafeteria, that was empty, except for one family eating at a large table. After we declined to spend New Year's eve in that space, she brought us back to the original room and sat us at one of the few remaining open tables for two, where we usually sit at this restaurant. Had better service and better service in the past.
We were meeting a friend for dinner and had 745p dinner reservations. We were not seated until 845p with no apologies from the hostess. We have been twice before and enjoyed the food but this last visit was a disappointment.
My wife and friend had the seafood paella. It was tasteless. The waitress took it back and returned it and still tasted bland. Not a good dining experience .
While the food was very good, the service was terrible. Not our server herself, she was very nice, but they were clearly understaffed. It wasn't that crowded when we got there, but we waited a ridiculous amount of time to get anything we ordered, including drinks. Dinner took over two hours for a party of four.
The entree I ordered came with sweet potato risotto. I do not eat any form of cheese and the risotto was very cheesy tasting. I mentioned it to the waiter and his response was " well risotto has heavy cream in it" as if I am suppose to know that's how it is made! It didn't taste like cream but like cheese! Didn't like the way I was spoken to.
Been to this establishment on dozens of occasions and the food and service is usually exceptional. Went on Sunday night and they were out of two of the three specials. The sushi wasn't up to par, the lobster tails were small and didn't have a sweet taste and looked like the were frozen not fresh and the steak was fatty and chewy. This is the worst experience we ever had here and may have cost them our business and future recommendations.
