I would STRONGLY advise AGAINST booking a car with this company. I booked a polestar electric car to pick up at Hobart airport. When I arrived I was told this car was not suitable for driving around Tasmania as there is a lack of charging points (I’m not sure why you would rent electric cars if this is the case?) although it then became apparent why… I was told I needed to take a different car. Absolutely terrible experience - literally a scam. Unfortunately we had a car accident happened at Hobart with their hired car. This is also a hotspot for car accident due to the stupid roundabout design. At no point in time did the staff who called Emily (appeared to be very chatty and chill) at the airport counter where we completed the car hire paperwork mention anything about the additional fee that was applicable other than the $5,900. We have just had 7 days in Tassie and we used thrifty car rental at Hobart . At our arrival they immediately offered us a better upgrade at no extra charge , staff was friendly and efficient and gave us a further discount as we are racq members which saved us another 80$ on our original quote . We were super impressed and would definitely use thrifty again , we had a 7 seater Nissan xtrail was a great suv

My flight was delayed by an hour and I arrived in Hobart at 10:50 PM. Staff was still at the counter waiting for me to collect the car. All paperwork and insurance details were ready, even though it was outside their usual working hours. I received a free upgrade to a Camry Hybrid as a member, which helped save on petrol and more comfy during the trip. Always pay for the highest insurance. Pathetic experience!! Returned car keys at 16:45 at counter. Firstly went around Gatty St to return car, construction worker sent around the car parking area where no one was available. I went round and round then parked and Went in the terminal and dropped keys 20 mins before time. They have invoiced me extra $94.11 for returning car late & entered car arrival time 17:20.
