Worth it..only for daytime use.
Deep black and extremely vibrant colors! No light bleeding but a little bit of clouding..but nothing noticeable in bright scenes. Motionflow xr 960 is nice but still choppy when panning fast. Design is super modern..even though I don't like the cheap all plastic remote and body.its remote is just like the one from 2015's x850c just with a microphone button very basic..also 3d is gone which I actually like and use. But overall this tv is absolutely better than last years in the brightness department..and I can't stress how amazing the color is especially gaming with rgb full, set to vivid, with the hdmi reference level set to full! Makes 4k pop and stand out beyond anything you think you have seen! I highly recommend you atleast go check it out in your local best buy...even if you own last years flagship..these tvs of 2016 are off to a promising start with the 55c850d. Though its worth mentioning that the sony x850d has a lower contrast ratio than last years model going from 3500:1 down to 1000:1...and again its all plastic frame, stand, and cheap basic remote don't impress coming from top end metal build quality. If you are still looking for a sony tv this is a good choice but last year was a better tv experience overall, giving you more for the money..and simply feeling more flagship. This model is great during the day but that extra brightness does more harm than good to led models that dont use the most up to date led diffuser. Great living room and gaming tv but bad for night viewers.
