What a wonderful team at the Weir. They welcomed my very unwell mother late in the evening. I had chosen them after recommendation from other healthcare professionals. I was not disappointed. It was an urgent admission so I didn't even check it out before committing my mother to their care. They seemed very friendly during our initial conversations and I later discovered this to be the prevailing atmosphere throughout the care home. Friendly and kind and compassionate. Our family member was made to feel so welcome and they settled very quickly to their new surroundings as a result. The staff have responded promptly and effectively to any questions or issues we have raised. Couldn't have gone better

My mother was admitted to the Weir Nursing Home in May 2026; she was there for palliative care as she was suffering from an aggressive cancer of the bowel. From the first day she arrived she was given excellent care and support; she was checked on regularly and the outstanding staff took time to chat and ask her about her family which she was very proud of. The Weir is a beautiful residence in a wonderful setting. The rooms are a very good size and very clean. The meals are excellent with a varied selection to choose from. The staff are very patient, professional and extremely helpful. Overall a wonderful Care Home

I am very happy my husband is in The Weir staff supper food exllent. Yes there are a few improvements to be made but overhall great.

The Weir Nursing Home has exceptional staff who are kind, caring and extremely tolerant. The setting is beautiful and there is a lovely calm atmosphere.

Ever since my sister has been in The Weir from November 2024 I have found the nursing care to be professional but friendly. Nothing seems to be a problem and the food is excellent.

Dad has been in the Weir for just over 3 years now. It is clear he is well cared for he has an excellent relationship with the staff and has lots of opportunity to take part in various activities. The food is excellent and the communication between myself and them is always very good.
