I would highly recommend Elder Law of East Tennessee. I came to them a couple of years ago distressed about my mother being put into a nursing home and me living over 500 miles away. Julia walked me through everything and I worked with Hailey regarding any Medicaid/Medicare issues and Jill regarding the nursing home and my mother's care. She visited my mother often and assured me she was being well cared for. All of the staff I have dealt with at Elder Law were professional and caring. This firm was a blessing to my family and me.

I had a wonderful meeting. I got all of my questions answered, and more. I walk in rather worried, and I left feeling wonderful, and most definitely "very secure"!

Couldn’t have made it through the last 18 months without this crew, especially Haley and Kyra. I had a lot of questions and both ladies extremely patient and always responded in a timely fashion by email and phone. If you have an elderly parent, you need these folks. They won’t leave you or on limb.

Had my wills and trust done. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. They were able to help me set up a trust for my son. I feel like I'm part of a family! Would recommend them to anyone needing wills or a trust. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

2019 - I am VERY happy with the solutions that the team at Elder Law of East Tennessee provided for my Mom's situation. No doubt there were others there that helped, but the ones that I had contact with were Malinda, Bailey, Jana, and Hailey; they are all very knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend them to anyone needing help with their elder loved one's affairs. The only regret that I have is the worry that I put myself through trying to figure all of this out on my own before I called them!!

I don't know what I would have done without them!! They helped not only to develop a care plan for my dad who became ill suddenly but also followed through with getting everything accomplished. They were a huge support to me during the entire process. My father passed away but they did not disappear. They continued working and tied up all loose ends. The entire team was professional yet caring. Their priorities were clear....to help our family!

Elder Law of East Tennessee and most importantly, Attorney Bailey Schiermeyer, had been a valuable resource for my husband and I in the past and again, most recently, with the unexpected passing of my husband. All our end of life decisions/Power of Attorney/Trusts were expertly handled in their office with a very attentive caring staff. All steps in the process were explained in detail. Recently Ms Schiermeyer helped me again after my husband's death. She was very helpful and compassionate and was able to give me peace of mind during the process. To not give them the a full 5 star kudos would be a great disservice to this wonderful group of people. I walked into their doors about 2 weeks after I admitted my father to the emergency room. I went in there with my head hung low and my heart in despair. After the first 30 minutes of being shown our options on the white board, I was sold! With every curve ball thrown during our experience with dad's life care, they have been there with option upon option to keep his progress on track. They are compassionate, caring and approachable. I am able to get a response within 30 minutes at all hours of the day and night. If you have a parent or senior in need life care guidance, these are your folks! Thank you everyone!

Elder Law of East Tennessee has been a godsend for our family. Amelia Crotwell and her staff created a Special Needs Trust to accommodate changing circumstances over time. The suite of Trust documents ensures future protection and identifies the responsibilities of the individuals chosen to follow through with requirements. We meet with Amelia and her staff annually to review the Trust itself, address concerns, and ask questions; during the year, we interact with Social Worker Jill Shoffner and are encouraged to contact her when unanticipated situations arise. Amellia and Jill are always approachable and "there for us," and it is comforting to observe that their skills and experience have served us well. We are grateful for our association with them and highly recommend their services.

All staff are professional, courteous and listen to your concerns. Amelia knows everything about law. And what she doesn't know she quickly finds the information.
Jill seems to be very good at networking. She knows just who to contact and what to say to them.

Elder Law of East Tennessee is amazing! My family and I found them in 2017 and we have been with them ever since. Bailey Schiermeyer is our attorney and she is so kind, caring and patient. She helped us with my parents Estate planning and she is always there if we need anything. Bailey is a perfect fit for my family.
