Love this place! Wonderful food, staff and atmosphere - it has been a family favorite of ours for years!

Their almond coffee cake is so delicious that I take it with me whenever I visit friends or family. I always buy a yule cake for the holidays. Their cream cheese danish is divine. The flaky crust on their quiches cannot be beat! Their birthday cakes are great too.

Great bread, but PLEASE bake some vegan items sometimes. I bet you’ll find that they will sell very well. I will be here to buy more than just your bread.

I love this bakery! They make the best Buche de Noel cakes at the holidays. Worth every penny - the cake and fillings are so good, and the icing is so light. I always get more sweets when I’m stopping to pick it up and they never disappoint either. Get the chocolate - get allll the chocolate! Yum!

The French Gourmet bakery used to be located right next to my house on Memorial.I wish it was not so far away now but when I go to the Galleria I will normally stop by and get something to eat and my adult kids always ask to bring back some cookies.They always remember the ginger iced ones!

I have been getting goodies for about 30 years. I’ll drive in from Brenham just for lunch.

We discovered French Gourmet through friends and then saw a TV spot on best king cakes so we tried it out. BEST KING CAKES for sure. Everything we have tried at the bakery has been fantastic. There are so few bakeries doing high quality products in small batches these days. French Gourmet is a real stand out. All of our holiday guests get excited when they hear we are buying breads and sweets from the Bakery. We are becoming regulars traveling from Sugar Land on weekends. Irresistible once you get hooked. Highly recommend you try French bread, Eclairs, tarts, cakes……all of it.

I have been a loyal customer since the 1970s, through three bakery locations. I have had many favorite items over the years, but my go to bakery item is the eclair. No one else's eclairs come close to theirs.

One must get there early for the wheat bread

I tried the baguette, country loaf, and croissant. Everything tasted Americanized to me. Bland and no proper crust/crunch to anything. It just wasn't the texture of "french" bread. I understand that in humid environments bread doesnt often stay crunchy, but I can tell that it was never that way in the first place.
