I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My father is moving in at Covenant Living at the Shores tomorrow. They have been wonderful. We have several family members and friends who have lived there for a few years. My dad is joining them, so we're happy. It's beautiful. It's on the lake. He is moving into a lakeview apartment with full care options, which is everything from assisted living to hospice. So, we're hoping this is the last move for him. His apartment is beautiful. They completely remodeled it with new ... read more

I am/was a resident of this facility I have lived in independent living at Covenant Shores since 1995. During that time my husband had to be in the Health Center for 2 1/2 years. He received excellent care. Now the Health Center is again in excellent shape having gone through some problems in the recent past. The activities director in the Reflections department now is helping each individual express interests. Music, art, social outreach, memory support are there. I can whole heartedly recommend Covenant Shores as a CCRC (C... read more

I am a friend or relative of a resident My mother was in rehab care at Covenant Shores in Mercer Island. It was a very nice, very well-kept, and very friendly community. The rooms were not large, but were pleasant, and they had a garden where the patients can go to. The rooms were situated around a large living area, which had a big screen TV that patients can watch as well as the one in their rooms. They played cards in each other's rooms once in a while. It's got a nice view of Lake Washington, the staff was very friendly,... read more

I am a friend or relative of resident The organization provides good care and services, but from our experience, they charge extra for virtually every little item a resident needs....move a towel rack, fix a light, adjust a shelf, all these requests from their elderly residents generate additional bills to the resident, who is already paying handsomely for their apartment. The management is slow or delays any of the contractual obligations for renovations the resident is entitled to receive on certain anniversaries. Lots of ... read more

I visited this facility The reason I wouldn't go to Covenant Shores was that they charged over $5,000 if you needed nursing assistance. It was almost $5,500 a month, and I couldn't afford that. In the independent living, you buy your little apartment, and then you pay extra number of dollars for all of the facilities, usage, and diner every night. I was looking at a one-bedroom apartment with a fully built-in kitchen. I liked that it was close to Seattle, and I was not afraid of traffic. It was also close to the city where I... read more

I visited this facility Covenant shore is right on the water and a lot of our church people are there. It's a nice place, the staff is excellent but we are not ready yet though. The food is a lot better there than we have here. You have to go outside to go eat and that would be the only negative thing.
