Gary ******came to my rental property, prior to COVID and measured for carpet and flooring to be replaced in certain areas. When the work was scheduled to be done, the tenants noticed that the workers were all immigrants. The employees worked diligently, and completed the process rather quickly. Recently bought a house and the sellers hired Gary to redo the hardwood where there was moisture damage. During the closing walk thru I noticed there was a 1/4” lift on half of the new hardwood while the other half has the same 1/4” but as a divet. I called him to let him know the problem because his work is “guaranteed.” He tried telling me that it’s because my floors have been sanded so many times and he can’t fix it because his company doesn’t do sanding. The sales rep was initially very responsive. He came to our summer home the day after I called him, and provided samples of the flooring. I chose the one I wanted, and he gave me a very reasonable price. I confirmed my intention of hiring him, and he claimed the installation would occur on 81021. I reached out to confirm on 8821 and he responded that the materials weren't available yet. So why had he not contacted me to reschedule? The job is in progress today, 8/13/21.
