About Us Palatka Flooring has been in business since 1963, longer than any other store that sells floor covering in Palatka. We didn’t open yesterday and we aren’t going to close tomorrow. We are owned and operated by three generations of the Watts family who were all born and raised in Palatka. We had Palatka Flooring install carpet in our whole house a couple of years ago. It all has rippled out. We had to get someone else come in to repair The Whole Job! Palatka Flooring gave us the big run-around when we called numerous times to have one of their repairmen come out and see it. Extremely disappointed. The repair man who did ours said that PF didn't install it properly. He had to restretch it everywhere and cut out inches! Of course, it cost us a day of $ and time. No one over there cared!
We have had Palatka Flooring do our work in the past. I needed to have the entry way done. It was delayed so many times that I lost count. When they did get the tile put in, it was not set as I had asked. They were supposed to stretch the carpeting as well. Not done. They did not put down a nail strip along the tile. The carpeting is loose. They were supposed to be here today. I dropped by the store at 2:00p to ask about the repairs. Seems the carpet guy tried to lie his way out of it. Went to our house excited we could start on our plumbing Monday because the floor would be done Friday. This was after we told them our builder went under and we do not have ac yet. But they said they would start. It was delayed 4 times for different reasons. We got the ac for them to work like they asked. We asked them many times to do the bathroom first because it was the most important in order for our other people to start Monday and move in by Christmas.
