my friends spent so much money on their floors and they are peeling and taylor flooring won't do anything about it... sad to spend money on something less than a year old and not have it fixed.
Taylor Flooring installed laminate in our brand new home. Carl Hilchey was the sale rep we dealt with. First I should start by saying the floor is very attractive to the eye and matches our home perfectly...however, it creeks and cracks all summer long during the humid months and there are gaps between some boards. My three friends have been treated despicably by Taylor Flooring. I really can't believe that a company cares so little about their customer service. Kathy McIntyre, Karen McIntyre, and Sue Brettell, spent the best part of 12 thousand dollars on laminated flooring throughout most of the house, because it was highly recommended by Taylor Flooring. Over the weekend I went for a visit to my friends parents house and was surprised to see hardwood floors chipped and peeling. I inquired if they had any major damage like flooding happen to their home and was told it was a manufacturer defect based on what the installer Taylor Flooring had installed. This all happened within one month after instillation! I asked why this has not been replaced and was told they have been trying to get Taylor to honour the warranty without result. Full of great promises and guarantees until there is an issue and then, try and blame it on the customer. Our floor came recommended to suit the needs of our family and we were assured that we would be satisfied. Together with a 25 year warranty from the manufacturer, which turns out not to be worth the paper it is written on, we thought we had things pretty well covered.
